Whether you're broken down on the 205 or stranded on a country road heading out to Mt Hood, we can get you out of that pinch. Contact us today!
We don't like to blow our own trumpets, but we're pretty good at what we do. Getting customers and their vehicles either back up and running or where they need to go is not rocket science, yet many companies try to overcomplicate things. We pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect, courtesy and just common decency, and since we know that when you call us your day likely isn't going too well we even try to throw in a little humor for good measure. Check out just a few of our services below.
Whether your car has left you stranded by the side of the road and won't run, or you had the misfortune of being in an accident - or even a total wreck - we will come out and tow your vehicle and get you exactly where you need to go. We can tow passenger vehicles of any size and in any condition, and most light commercial vehicles too.
You just left the office, got into your car and turned the key, and guess what? Nothing. The battery is dead. We'll come out with our jumper cables and get you back up and running in a flash. If your battery is completely dead, we can also bring you a new one. And if it's the alternator? We can get you to the right person to fix it.
You drove over a sharp branch, stone or piece of metal and that thing penetrated your tire tread, leaving you immobilized within seconds. We'll come out and either do a quick plug or swap it out for your spare and get you back on the road. If this happens, you should pull over immediately to avoid causing damage to the rim, and CALL US!
You'd be amazed at how often we get called out to refuel a car. We live our lives (and sometimes drive!) at 100 mph, and it can be easy to forget to check the fuel gauge. But don't worry! We'll spare your blushes and come out quickly and discretely fill up your tank.
While this is less common in newer vehicles, leaving the key inside and locking the door is easily one of the most frustrating situations you can experience. West Linn Towing has the means to get you out of that pinch and back into the vehicle (with the key) and back on the road.
Our techs are trained not only in getting vehicles back to where they need to go, but in general maintenance and repairs as well. If your engine is overheating, we can check and add coolant and other fluids as necessary to get you back up and running. Don't delay as you can damage the engine: CALL US NOW!
Imagine this: a business giving away its secrets to customers FOR FREE. Crazy, right? Well, we're feeling generous.
So you got a flat. You've pulled over to the side of the road, stopped in a safe place, turned on your hazard lights and put on your bright yellow safety vest (if you have one). Now what? If you're in desperate need to get moving within minutes (bearing in mind it could take us 10-20 mins to get to you, depending on your location) and are confident enough that you want to take on the challenge of swapping out the flat tire yourself, here's how it's done:
1. LOCATE THE SPARE, JACK, AND WHEEL WRENCH
These are typically found in the trunk (under the bed mat), and some spares are stored beneath the vehicle. The jack handle sometimes doubles as the wrench.
2. LOOSEN THE LUG NUTS
Go around each lug nut individually and loosen slightly. They will be tight, so you will have to put some leverage on it to get it to move. Don't remove the nuts just yet.
3. JACK UP THE VEHICLE
Locate the jack point on the undercarriage closest to the tire you're changing (typically towards the front and rear) and raise the car using the jack.
4. REMOVE THE LUG NUTS AND THE WHEEL
Completely unscrew the lug nuts and set to one side, then remove the wheel with the flat. This is heavy and you may need to jiggle and 'walk' it off the lugs.
5. SET THE SPARE ONTO THE LUGS
Like the wheel you just removed, the spare will be heavy. Line up the holes, using your foot to stabilize if necessary, and slide or 'walk' on.
6. APPLY AND TIGHTEN THE LUG NUTS
Those lug nuts you set to one side? Still have them, right?! Screw them onto the lugs and tighten each one firmly with the tire wrench.
7. LOWER JACK & STORE FLAT & TOOLS
Safely lower the vehicle jack and store the jack, wrench and the flat tire in the trunk so you can bring it to your nearest flat fix. DONE!
